Top 3 Reasons to Take the Veganuary Challenge!
Veganuary is a pledge to try a vegan lifestyle for the month of January and then throughout the rest of the year. Well over 100,000 people made the pledge, with thousands continuing to join the challenge. Not only do most people naturally lose weight on a plant-based diet, there are numerous other health benefits such as reduced risk of cancer, diabetes and heart disease, to name just a few.
You will be helping the planet and the animals. Your environmental footprint reduces by more than 50% when you switch to a vegan lifestyle! You also conserve water (enormous amount of water is necessary for meat/diary production) and you save animal habitats (less land is needed to grow food for humans than is needed to feed and raise farm animals). Another important benefit of veganism is that you reduce harm to animals that suffer greatly in the production of meat and dairy products.
